The Cricket’s Nest Craft Shop Celebrates Local Authors
September is the month to celebrate local authors! The Cricket’s Nest Craft Shop is planning its annual Cricket Craft Festival for Saturday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with a bonus attraction. Join us for a book signing featuring local authors 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Our House in South Fork Park. Meet the authors and have the opportunity to purchase autographed copies of their books and enjoy complimentary refreshments! The craft festival will have over 50 vendors, food and time to shop in the craft shop.
Start your Christmas shopping early! There will be a wide variety of beautiful, hand-crafted merchandise, such as unique jewelry, baby items, turned wood, birdhouses, shea butter lotions, handmade quilts, and even stylish dog attire (bandanas, collars and leashes) for that special pup. As always, we have the widest selection of Moravian items in town, crocheted baby blankets, quilts, kitchen necessities such as crochet top towels, our famous dishcloths and scrubbers.
The Cricket’s Nest is located at 4401 Country Club Road in beautiful South Fork Park, Winston-Salem. This non-profit business has been serving senior adults and the general public for over 40 years. Talented crafters 55 plus years young and residents of Forsyth County are eligible to join. Members keep 100% of their asking price when their items sell.
