Salemtowne Shining Light Award Accepting Nominations

There’s a saying that defines Salemtowne: “where every life shines.” 

The Salemtowne Shining Light Award is a volunteer service award that honors individuals who reflect Salemtowne’s commitment to support the well-being of others. Nominations will be accepted for the 2017 award from March 14 until April 14.

Previous winners have contributed their time and talents in a variety of areas for local nonprofit organizations. These volunteers humbly gave of themselves to support local nonprofit organizations, offering valuable services to those in need in our community.

But those seniors aren’t the only ones who benefit from charitable activity. According to the Corporation for National and Community Service, older Americans who volunteer are more likely to live longer and report fewer health problems as they age. 

Salemtowne Shining Light Award

Nominations for Award is open to volunteers age 62 and older.

Nominations will be accepted from March 14 to April 14
and the winner will be announced in June.
