More than a shipping service, store offers mail boxes for secure delivery

If you think The UPS Store is just a shipping service, it’s time to give them another look!

Amy-Ruth Hallett, president of 2H Investments Corporation, which owns The UPS Store on Knollwood Street, is excited to announce the opening of a second
location in downtown Winston-Salem at 550 N. Liberty Street (at the corner of 6th and Liberty), opening on Monday, May 10, with the ribbon cutting ceremony schedule for 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12.

One of the many services the UPS Store offers is a personal mailbox that provides you with a legal address just like your own front door – not just a P.O. box number. All shipments that require a signature like fine wine and valuables can be sent to your “front door” mailbox at The UPS Store. The UPS Store will alert you when a package arrives, so you don’t have to wait around at home for a package delivery or risk valuable shipments being left on your doorstep.

Many of their customers have found this to be the ideal way to receive their mail order prescription medications. Not only are the deliveries secure, they are also kept in a climate-controlled environment until you pick them up, so there is no risk of them becoming overheated on a hot day, or damaged by severe cold weather.

Identity theft is also increasing… last year there were over 13 million identities stolen in the U.S. – making identity theft the most common type of crime. The problem starts in your own home and at the end of your driveway, where unsecured mail can become targets. When you use a UPS mail box, not only will you get mail and package acceptance from all carriers with their mailbox services, you can rest assured knowing there is no way an identity thief can get to your information in your mailbox.

The UPS Store Downtown also offers secure shredding, fax, computer access, passport and ID photos, passport renewal service, design services, laminating, unibind/coil binding, all types of printing, and moving supplies. Their notary services are also helpful to seniors, who may need Medical Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, and Last Will and Testament documents notarized.

With the opening of its newest location at 550 N. Liberty Street, 2H Investments Corporation is proud to be a member of the local community and continues to collaborate with other community leaders to help our community to grow. 2H Investments Corporation especially thanks the City of Winston-Salem and Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership for their support in helping to bring these services to the downtown community.

The new store will be open seven days a week, Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.-
6 p.m., and Sunday noon-5 p.m. (UPS picks up at 7:30 p.m. weekdays and 2 p.m. on Saturdays.) There is parking in the adjoining lot or on the street right in front of their store.

“We love teaming up, digging deep and finding the best way to get things done,” says Hallett. “Great things happen when you work together. So the next time you are faced with a dilemma, come see us. Together, there’s nothing we can’t solve.”
